We at ACE are committed to protection of people and the environment and to this end we sought certification of the international standard for environmental management, ISO 14001, through the SABS. We also became a member of the Chemical and Allied Industries Association, subscribing fully to their Responsible Care initiative.

Our new building was designed with health & safety and environment protection in mind. Processes are carried out in such a way that any impact on the environment and the safety of people due to mishaps will be kept to a minimum.

Safety and emergency equipment is strategically located throughout the warehouse.

Features include:

  • spillage flushing to contained underground tanks
  • bunded bulk liquid stores
  • small pack acid stores separation with fire doors
  • contained flammable store
  • separate hazardous chemicals store
  • access control and closed circuit TV monitoring to all areas
  • separated waste
  • recycling.
